Z Axis Level stands
Description
I created this support to assist with levelling the Z-Axis stepper motors (essential for printers with dual z-axis steppers). You can print two of these (one for each side). I printed this out of necessity but shared it if it saves anyone else some time. I have included photos of my printer (with and without the spacers inserted to show the shape of my printer) I have a HICTOP (Prusa i3 clone) The overall height of this spacer is 68mm with a 12x12 mm base and accepts an 8mm x-axis rod. There is a 9mm hole at the bottom since my printer's z-axis stepper holders have Allen-cap screws directly below my x-axis rails - so having a hole there ensures that the spaces are correctly aligned with the x-axis rails. Since this is a printed part, possibly printed by unleveled printers you want to take the following precautions when printing: - use your slicer to position the two prints on the same Y-axis line (preventing z-axis anomalies from affecting the two prints differently) - use a vernier to measure the two prints and sandpaper (on a block) to make adjustments as needed to get them to match up. Relatively new to printing and designing, I made this part to increase my quality in printings and have some fun designing. Please feel fair to comment on it for any improvements you think should be made
