CPAP Air Redirect

CPAP Air Redirect

Description

My CPAP has an issue where it blows directly in someone's face if I am in bed with them. This is a work in progress and only on version 2. I will likely add a way for it to attach to the hose without glue, but for now this is functional for testing. a dab of superglue above nd below the air oulets and it stays. I first wanted to prove the idea work (volume of air could be a potential issue). then I will work on cleaning it up. This was printed with 15% fill on a Prusa Mini + using Amazon black standard PLA. I am not currently concerned with the PLA and safety because it is outside the flow of air going into my lungs if the machine is operating correctly (as the VA explained it). This simply redirects the flow of air forwards out the left and right side currently. As I said I intend to work on streamlining it more and one idea is a hose that releases the air farther down the CPAP hose that connects to one or multiple points on a similar attachment to the air outlet. I know they have new masks that solve the issue, but changing masks can be a bear, and i currently have like 6 of these masks, so I would prefer to use them before changing mask types. I am expecting to modify this consistently over the next few weeks. V2 still kept too much air in so the CPAP determined there was a seal error. V3 should address this by allowing more free air flow. I will use this tonight and see if it addresses that concern.
