BentoMuseum-Miraikan
Description
BentoMuseum is a system composed of 3D printed models and iPad applications. It allows blind visitors to touch the 3D model and its audio-tactile labels to learn the external structure, internal attractions and route, to develop a mental map of a complex museum. It is implemented in a science museum, Miraikan. (https://www.miraikan.jst.go.jp/en/) Besides 3D models, we provided A4 size patterns in Ai format, which can be printed and pasted under the 3D floors. A set of gadgets that can be clipped on an iPad pro is also provided, which is designed to use together with our iPad application (https://github.com/miraikan-research/BentoMuseum-Miraikan). These gadgets include (1) physical buttons to adjust voiceover speed, change mode, and cancel the audio, and (2) stoppers to fix the model on a 12-inch iPad Pro.
