*Interiors* Building Set

*Interiors* Building Set

Description

Lately I've been playing with my old architectural building sets, and realized that there are plenty of building sets for exteriors, but nothing for interiors. And while looking at computer-rendered interiors is all well and good, it lacks a bit of something that makes an actually built model so much more inviting! So I've begun this project. The individual elements all snap together. Those I've made so far are: --Walls: plain, with cutouts for windows, with holes for light fixtures I'm planning, with cutouts for fireplaces. --Doors: Inside of a front door, and a closet or interior door, very plain. --Windows: a set of double-hung windows, narrow and wide. --Floors: Plain (add felt or model railroad "grass" for carpeting) and wooden --Fireplace: just a plain one for now. Mantels to be added later. Note: I have made abutting pieces with a bit of a bevel so that even if your printer prints an extra-wide first layer, the pieces should fit together snugly. If they don't, a couple of passes with a fine-toothed metal file or a pocket knife will take care of the problem. Carefully clean the floor tabs and the slots they fit in (a model file will do the trick nicely) to keep the floors level when snapped together. Please let me know what you think, and post any makes you make! If there's anything you'd like me to design (ceilings are coming!) please tell me in the comments. I work for encouragement!
