Sweepy Marble Run 1

Sweepy Marble Run 1

Description

This is a marble run I made in Solidworks as a school assignment. It was an exercise in painful lofting and sweeping that was very satisfying but not something I'd wish upon a friend. It's designed to fit on a standard 200mm square 3D printer bed, and it should be printable without supports. It has two paths, both of which should work with standard 15mm marbles (or smaller bearing balls if not). Each path starts at a uniquely styled tower on opposite sides of the run, but both end in the same place. I'm taking my liberties as an artist to claim this holds some subtle meaning for someone to figure out. So far, this model exists only in digital land. If you print it out, please post a make; I'd love to see it! Happy printing. — Kevin
