Spacer for VW California tailgate camping chair
Description
Spacer for the joints of the seat and the backrest with the legs. There are two different types of spacers available, let's say male and female. Especially the rear joints of the seat are fragile as well as hard to replace. The Bolts are locked with a thread locker and usually they can't be disassembled without destruction. Once removed, there are three options: - buy the original repair kit from VW (7H7098091A) - repair the disassembled threaded bushing and use a new flat head allen screw - turn new bushings and flat heat srews on a lathe from normal stainless steel bolts, as I did. Trick: if the bolt hast exactly the correct lenght, you can tighten it without using thread locker and also avoid seizing up the joint.
