1993 Specialized Futureshock/Rockshox Mag 21 replacement shock boot
Description
I decided to refurbish the Futureshock that came with my 1993 Stumpjumper. This includes replacing the old rubber shock boots. I didn't want to buy used ones so I made my own. This will also work on the Rockshox Mag 21 fork and probably many other forks. I added the "specialized" logo around the bottom of the boot like the originals, so if you have a Rockshox fork, you should print the stl without the logo. I believe it goes without saying that you must print this with some sort of flexible filament. I used gray generic TPU and it came out pretty fine. The part has a nice snug fit and I made it slightly longer than it should be to add preload to the boot, ensuring it doesn't expose the stanchion. The part happily compresses more than the travel of the fork, which is about 50mm.
