FLSUN Q5 Damper Foot
Description
While looking for things to help calibrate my FLSUN Q5 after replacing its stepper drivers, I ran across feet for the printer. One of the comments mentioned their affect on the vibration and resultant noise. With that in mind, I decided to design my own, having noticed how quiet the printer is when lifted above the table. I considered suspending it from the ceiling or placing it on the floor, but I opted to make my own damoer feet, shock absorbers to diffuse the vibration created while printing, minimizing noise. After two attempts, I developed this simple foot which can be slipped over the existing foot and clipped onto the edge of the corners. A quick print, the feet put a slight spring in the step of the printer, diffusing the vibration that usually resonates in the surface below. While not as silent as being suspending in the air, it is much closer. Print 3 feet, one for each FLSUN Q series foot. If the feet of the other models are of similar size and distance for the corners, this foot may work for them as well.
