Distance Ring for the Shortened Swagelok QC6 Quick Disconnect by NarkedAt90
Description
I purchased these shortened Swagelok QC6 [male](https://www.narkedat90.com/ssqc6d4pfbox221-swagelok-qc6-series-male-qd-fitting-with-9-16-thread.html) and [female](https://www.narkedat90.com/ssqc6b4pfbox177.html) quick disconnects from NarkedAt90. They come with a 9/16 thread for direct connection to a SCUBA regulator hose, and they are great for streamlining off-board tank connections. Unfortunately I found that the way their threads are cut, the threaded sleeve on the regulator hose can not be tightened against the quick connect body in the way that the connection is intended to work, and instead it tightens against the inner stem part. This means that the quick disconnect can not rotate against the hose in the way the connection design is meant to work, and torque applied to the quick disconnect will sooner or later loosen the lock ring. I designed this spacer to rectify this and make it possible to tighten the sleeve on the hose against the quick disconnect. It is threaded on the inside to keep it centered when it is all the way on the quick disconnect - but this means it will have to be screwed on, and not just pushed on.
