Samyang 135mm Lens Collar
Description
Presented is a lens collar solution for the Samyang 135mm f/2 ED UMC lens. The Samyang 135mm f/2 ED UMC lens weighs in at roughly 800g. Therefore, I designed a portable lens collar solution in order to achieve better balance while loaded on a tracking mount for astrophotography. The incorporated side rails are unused in this design but allow for mounting additional hardware in the future (ie. a focusing solution). If not using the side rails, the M4 screws and insets are unnecessary. I am actively using this lens collar as described for my Samyang 135mm ED UMC lens attached to a Canon EOS 250D camera on a DIY EQ mount.
