Sofirn HS10 16340 headmount for running
Description
READ THIS FIRST BEFORE PRINTING I designed this headmount for the Sofirn HS10, because the original one is made from rubber and not suitable for running. It is very wobbly and the light shakes in front of you. I have only printed and tested the 2-part solution, where plate and clip are seperated and this works good, but if you lack 2 component glue, you could try to print the one-part variant. You have to print it on the side, like it is oriented by me, because if you print it flat, the clip will break. Back to the two part solution: print them both like oriented by me (clip on side, plate flat on the ground). After the print heat the plate up using a heating gun, cover your head with a thin cloth like a running cap or a buff and maybe use a glove and when it is soft but not molten press it against your forehead for ten to twenty seconds to adapt the curvature to your head. If you have a heating gun, be extremley careful not to melt it completly. If you only have a hairdryer as heatsource, I think you would have to print it in PLA, to get it soft, maybe a printers headbed will work also. The resulting rounded headplate will touch the clip's plate only with a small part of the surface, so I used 2 component glue with a small skirt of modelling clay to prevent the glue from running down. I have used it a few times now and it is very light but also stiff, did not break and I used the original Sofirn strap. You could also add an overhead strap for additional assistance.
