Eclipson S glider – modification for detachable tail parts
Description
The possibility of having detachable parts on each model for reasons of transport and storage is an elementary requirement for me. Another advantage of this design is also simple parts replacement. The damage of tail parts during transport or landing is a fairly common situation. I very liked the Eclipson model S (see https://www.eclipson-airplanes.com/), but the fix mount of V-tail was problem for me. Therefore I spent many hours this spring to modify it for easy detachable design. The modification was tested by hours of flying during summer and autumn, so I can confirm, it is enough strong and realible. By the approval of Eclipson Airplanes, I can now publish this modification for free use. The design contains only modified parts, so if you would like to print this plane, you still have to buy the design from Eclipson, and then replace some parts by mine. Requirements: Bolt M2x8 (2x) Nut M2 (2x, Washer for M2 (at thin and small as possible) 2x Carbon tube 4x2mm or carbon rod 4mm 5 cm 2x Push rod with simply openable Clevis 2x My Eclipson S is printed mostly from LW-PLA, some parts (Fus1, Fus2, Wing1, Wing5) from PLA. So, all modified parts, except housings can be printed from LW-PLA. The Fus5 may be printed from LW-PLA or PLA. For housings is strictlly recommended PETG.
