Ender 3 Pro Fan Shroud for 4020 Fan - Similar to Stock Shroud
Description
I found the original shroud by jass_on worked, but I had to modify it to fit my printer. It was a little tight on the heating element cables and I had to chop off the BL Touch extension to make it fit with my Creality BL Touch bracket (I didn't want to print a different one that worked with jass_on's shroud). I wanted the shroud to be almost identical to the stock Ender 3 Pro shroud (with changes to make it work with 3D printed materials and the 4020 fan). Changes from the Original jass_on Version --------------------- 1. Added stock vent to the left side of the shroud 2. Increased the top opening width from 24.5mm to 27mm (closer to OE version) 3. Reduced the 4020 hole diameters from 5mm to 3.9mm to allow mounting directly to shroud with 4mm x 25mm screws 4. Increased the front thickness from 3mm to 5mm to fit 4mm x 25mm screws flush with the front 5. Removed the rail from the left side so it only has two tabs to mount, like the OE version 6. Increased the length of the top gusset from 10mm to 25mm (I tried to make it reach about halfway across the length since this tab hold most of the shroud's weight). 7. Increased the size of or added fillet radii for most features of the part to eliminate sharp corners and potential stress risers Installation --------------------- * Requires four 4mm x 25mm button head screws (cap head screws will probably contact the hot end) * The original mounting screws for the part blower and the shroud should work, only the new 4020 fan will need new screws * The 4020 fan mounting holes will be a little tight, but the screw will thread into them. * Do not over-tighten the screws or you could strip the holes. They do not need to be very tight to hold the fans. I also made a new fan guard shape using hexagons. I broke my original fan because the fan guard has relatively large holes. Feel free to use either one, but the hexagons are small and probably more difficult to print than the original shape. I included STEP files as well, if you would like to make changes.
