BIQU B1 Hotend Adapter Plate Cover Spacer

BIQU B1 Hotend Adapter Plate Cover Spacer

Description

Biqu B1 Hotend Adapter Plate Cover Spacer to fix the hotend sitting at an angle with respect to the carriage plate. This file is remixed from the original for a few reasons. 1. Idk why but the original has been exported with all spacers in one stl, there are ways to separate it in the slicer but that's annoying. This one is 1.1mm thick as that is what my printer needed, but you can easily scale it in Z alone in your slicer to change the thickness. See the note below for help determining the thickness you need. 2. I got my printer used and its been a whole bag of worms to get this thing to perform, this new model is a LOT easier to print as there are less small profiles, sharp corners, and unnecessary geometry. 3. When I started this list I definitely had a third point but I've since forgotten it. I've also included the original Adapter Plate Cover from the BIQU github but I've remodeled it and attached it as an STEP so you can make any changes you'd like. **If you plan to reprint the cover** I highly recommend using my "- Improved" STEP file as it has proper fillets on all edges, the same size hole cutouts on each corner (yes, I had to fix that...), internal fillets, its just better, okay? Open it and see for yourself. The Note Below: I used a set of feeler gauges and a ruler to find the thickness I needed. I moved the hotend down until I could just fit the ruler between the back of the cooler duct and the bed vertically. I then added thickness via the feeler gauges behind the plate until I could slip the ruler under the front of the cooler just as easily as the back (in stock configuration it will run into the front of the cooler but not the back). See the picture I guess, its a little hard to explain and like I'm already doing most of the work I'm sure you can figure it out or just use the 1.1mm shim shibby right.
