Catan Pieces Box and Tray V2 Seafarers
Description
I liked the original design because it functions as a 2in1 storage box + tray. However it was tight and tricky to close when I added the ships from the Seafarers expansion. I made 4 changes: 1- Made the model taller (around 37.5mm). This means that you could still fit 2 on top of each other in a Catan box. 2- This had another advantage of making the holes inside the lid deeper, which meant that the pieces are held more securely. 3- I closed the u-shaped hole at the front of the model to prevent small pieces (esp. roads) from falling out when storing the Catan box. 4- I made the holes in the lid a bit tighter so that the pieces would sit in them without too much wiggle. It still won't be perfect because I discovered that the road pieces don't all have the same thickness. Print settings: Creality Ender 3 V2 Neo - using Cura + Filament Friday Extra Fast 0.28 profile with 10% infill. Print time: ~ 2hr 30 minutes - uses about 15 meters of PLA.
