Milwaukee Packout Label Strips
Description
I wanted to better label my Packout bins. I designed these to: - Accommodate a standard 12mm label strip (e.g. Brother label maker) - Stay put if the Packout is jostled about - Be readable when the lid is closed - Be readable when the lid is open - Be attached to the bins themselves (i.e. if I move bins around I don't need to re-label anything) - Don't get in the road - these easily flip out of the way while still remaining "captured" (i.e. don't fall off the bin in the "open" position) - Don't hinder taking bins in/out, stacking bins on top of each other, etc. - Very quick to print - can pump out 10 of these things in ~30mins (0.6mm nozzle, 0.4mm layer height) Designed to be a single "shell" so make sure you're using Arachne or "detect thin walls" in your slicer settings. I printed these with a 0.6mm nozzle, but in theory should work with the standard 0.4mm as well. I'd be curious to hear if anyone has success with that. (or issues for that matter) Install by snapping in the "hinge side" first with the label strip sticking up, then rotate it down into the "closed" position. (enjoy the satisfying "click") Only works for the shallow Packout bins (TODO: design one that works with the deeper bins) Fusion 360 file included if you care to customize them Happy organizing!
