Bambu X1C indicator mount
Description
An indicator mounting bracket that snaps onto the hot end cover. Use this to square up the bed to the Z axis. Notice I didn't say level the bed. It does that by itself. I am just interested in having the bed square to the mechanical Z axis like tramming the bed. This should clip on snugly to the hot end cover. If not shim the bottom clip with paper. There are two mounting holes. M5x.8 and M6x1. You may have to tap these threads. Or you can drill them out and use a nut. I made this for the Harbor Freight Dial Indicator. Mount the indicator onto the bracket and clip it onto the plastic cover. use the axis controls to move the bed up until the indicator reads. TURN THE PRINTER OFF. zero the indicator and move the head around manually with the printer off. if you use the machines screen or the handy app, It will use the bed level map and compensate. Move the X and Y axis manually careful not to move the indicator. adjust the bed leveling screws until it is as close to "level" as possible. Remove the indicator . be sure to make the machine relevel itself. Is this a waste of time? maybe. I have the tools and the time so its entertainment. I used PLA no support.
