Rail USB Tray (Ender 3 V2)
Description
Rail-mounted tray to hold small objects (such as a USB stick) *The included file(s) are the version currently being used on my Ender 3 V2. ## Usage This print is intended to solve the issue of where to put the TF-to-USB adapter while the TF card is in use. Using a larger storage box under the bed is inconvenient while prints are ongoing or during rapid prototyping, and my desk is otherwise messy so just leaving it lying around wasn't an option. ![Printed model](https://i.imgur.com/cPv7RG9.jpg) ## Attribution The original rail mount and initial tray design were sourced from "[Generic spray bottle holder](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5552104)" by DigitalFootprint. I had to make changes to the height/angle of the rail mount taper to get it to properly fit the rails on my printer. I've also included an file for an extra length of rail to hold the tray in place, as it seemed easier than a single print with super tight tolerances. The included file(s) are easily extensible as long as supports are properly used. ### Printing On the topic of supports, attached below is an image of the settings that produced the best print on my somewhat uncalibrated printer. I generally stick to tree supports, but they couldn't get close enough to the surface on this model to provide proper support. The normal supports are significantly closer to the model surface with only minor drawbacks. The extra rail can be printed without supports. ![Support settings](https://i.imgur.com/8Ml2zp8.png)
