NASA SLS Artemis Scale 1:150 (98 mtr --> 65,3 cm)
Description
Most Artemis have such small details that they aren't visible anymore when printed. That's why I slightly oversized the details, in particular I increased the extent to which they stick out of the surface. This results in a rich detailed design, even when printed at a smaler size. This model has a 1:15 scale because all my NASA models are. I used both FDM and SLA printers to build the model. Especially for the SLA printed parts the hollowing is important. First of all because Resin is expensive. Secondly, the automatic hollowing of SLA Slicers do a bad job by leaving internal overhangs unsupported and if you use an infill structure uncured Resin stays in the model and that will eventually make te model crack. The model is completely hollow to preserve material without sacrificing structural strength. It is also printable without any supports. All Overhangs are within the 45 degree safe angle. Printers used: * Creality CR-6 SE (modified with direct drive and Double airflow) * Creality LD-002h * AnyCubic Photon Mono X 6K I'm designing a set of Decals for laser/Inktjet printing and will post the file here later.
