Nail Clipper pin
Description
My nail clipper's pin (the thing securing the lever to the rest of the clippers) broke off, so I decided to craft a replacement part. A merely 3D-printed plastic part will probably break immediately, so I instead decided to try metal casting it, as I wanted to give that a shot anyway. The attached STL files, therefore, contain both a complete model that can be used for metal 3D printing, as well as a split version with alignment pins to be used in metal casting with a sand mold. At the time of uploading, I have printed the pin halves in PLA at 20% infill (though it's probably 100% walls anyway, so infill won't really matter), but I have not yet had time to cast it in metal. I strongly suggest using a brim, otherwise, the model will most likely detach from the build plate due to the tiny contact area. If the exact dimensions of the pin don't match your clipper model, you can use the attached Blender file to adapt it to your needs. It's set up for the pin halves, but joining the two halves shouldn't be too hard if you have basic blender skills (I'm only a novice, as well).
