woodworking power tool jig parts.

woodworking power tool jig parts.

Description

Inspired by WoodWorkWeb's video about drillpress safety ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBClMGt_S8s&t=10s ), I picked up a couple of MagSwitch 150's when they were on sale, and I am working on a couple of jigs that use them for my Drill Press and Bandsaw... and probably a few other tools along the way. I'm uploading the first part(s) now, mounting brackets that will hold the Mag150's to a piece of 2020 extrusion. I am using a piece of 2080 OpenBuilds v-rail because I have a piece left over from a project. You could just as easily use these parts with 80/20 or other 20mm sized extrusion... though I would definitely use at least 2060 or 2080 profile. I have another piece of 2080 on my table saw attached to my miter gauge with some custom flip-stops. I made the flip-stops out of aluminum, but they could be 3d printed just as easily. (sounds like my next part) 1/5/2023 Uploaded 2 versions of magswitch 150 mounts... will work on 2040,2060, and 2080 extrusion. I would suggest printing these with high infill. One has self-tap holes for m4 screws (3.85mm diameter) the second one has holes for m4 inserts (the woodworking kind)... The big threads seem to work much better than standard heat-press inserts. I included the .step file so you can modify the mount to use a different kind of insert if you want.
