Mounting Plate For QIDI X-Plus Hotend Cooling Fan
Description
When changing the high temperature hotend of my Qidi X-Plus to all metal I found a very small cooling fan (30x30mm) and decided to use a bigger on just to ensure maximum cooling for the cold end of the hotend. I had in mind that all metal hotends tend to clog with PLA more than other hotends do. So max cooling should not be bad at all. The original way the cooling fan was mounted (two plastic tubes and a strip of metal) to the extruder was not made for a bigger fan (40x40mm). This thing is able to fix the cooling fan at the same distance the original way does. Additionally it supplies a better way of conducting the air to the hotend. I used ABS to print this. Maybe other filaments to work but I did not test that.
