FLSUN SR direct drive modification with OMG V2S

FLSUN SR direct drive modification with OMG V2S

Description

I decided to make this modification after bad experience printing some material with bowden extruder. Plus I had all parts laying around. This setup is 414g so it is 43g heavier than sherpa mini upgrade. To stock FLSUN SR this parts are needed: OMGVS remote extruder https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004347537914.html Stepper motor NEMA 17 42x23 mm or similar. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004964135804.html M10 to M6 adapter. Any aftermarket which make clearance between extruder and hotend cooler 0-10 mm. If you have long version of this adapter, you have to adjust frame.stp https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002074899805.html Screws: 2x M3 x 10 with nuts 3x M3 x 20 with washers 3D printed spacer and frame. I made simplified video of assembly. PTFE tube should be 0.5 mm longer. Hotend cooler and extruder part won't be screwed tight because extruder have to be flash with frame and cooler holes have to match to screw to effector. Hotend cooler set screws have to point back, so you have access to them. I printed Benchy after assembly with PLA on cura - normal SR profile after calibrating e-steps and changing retraction to 2mm, 30mm/s. https://youtu.be/W8oIPIdQaMU I Didn't make any deeper testing, make this mod on your own risk.
