Minimus for Ender-6 (backplates and shrouds)

Minimus for Ender-6 (backplates and shrouds)

Description

Minimus for Ender-6 ================ These parts are designed allow the Creality Ender-6 printer to mount the Minimus hotend cooler system. The original Minimus was created by Rogue Mail, and can be located here: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/minimus-hotend-cooler-system Please see the original Minimus page to download the rest of the files such as ducts, CR spacers, fan covers, etc. and to gain the Minimus readme with printing guidance and recommendations. And also show him your support! The Minimus was recently made free on Cults, and it's a fantastic setup! Minimus for Ender-6 - Backplate Versions ---------------------------------------------------- - Backplate (no BL/CR Touch) - Backplate with BL/CR Touch mount (dual 4010 blower fans) - Backplate with BL/CR Touch mount (single 4010 blower fan) Minimus for Ender-6 - Shroud Versions ---------------------------------------------------- - Dual 4010 blower fans - Single 4010 blower fans *Note: The shroud modifications are only required if the Ender-6 bolts cause difficulty in mounting the shroud onto the backplate - may depend on your printing precision.* These modifications have been made as the original setup will run into the following issues on the Ender-6 due to the machine's unique hotend backplate: - The bolts securing the lower set of wheels on the X axis are in the way of the Minimus backplate - The original backplate will impede the cable for the X axis endstop, leading to either the backplate not seating correctly or the cable being strained - If using a BL Touch or CR Touch, it will collide with the left-hand side of the machine when moved to the left-most position on the X axis - If using a BL Touch or CR Touch, the arm on the backplate that mounts this will be bent out of position, as it intersects with the belt on X-axis and the top of the arm will collide with the far left of the machine As such these modified versions have been setup to address these issues while meeting the following criteria: - As far as possible, follow the Minimus design philosophy - KISS and no bolts - Do not change the position in which the shroud mounts nor the method with which it attaches. The fans and ducts should be in the same position relative to the hotend as the original Minimus - The original printing instructions from the original Minimus readme should still apply Please see the Minimus for Ender-6 readme file for more specific details on the modifications.
