Traxxas Slash 2WD Rear Diffuser
Description
This is the first of many print sets for a 2wd Slash down-force system. Suitable for both drift and drag cars. When the whole system is installed your car should pull itself down and make the car squat as speed increases. This fits with and without a wheelie bar. Yes the same will become available for 4x4 Slash as time allows. I am proud to finally release this project. After trying several different diffuser plans online and not being happy with the overall complexity and fitment of others I designed this one. I have printed this one several times blindly without issues. Fin fitment is tight enough to glue cleanly. I decided to go with less hardware because I wanted this to be a Friday night winner for Saturday morning for you. There are 4 2mm screws needed for the bottom, however a roll-pin pressed in with glue makes for a very solid joint. Less hardware = less joints to fail. I recommend you print the two test pieces first to make sure you have your printer dialed in enough to achieve proper fitment with the individual parts. I made these parts a very quick print. The fins are divided up as (outer, inner, center). The center fin will fit in the inner fin location to allow usage of the center web panel for a no wheelie bar setup. If you have a wheelie bar, use the inner fins and omit the center web. The outer fins have two types. One has a mounting hole the other has a location pin for line up during gluing. I included both to give more options. The spacing of the fins makes one web wide and the other narrow. Figure which goes where before you apply glue.
