Kenwood TM-D700a Desk mounts
Description
Here is a set of mounts I built specifically for the Kenwood TM-D700A transceiver and head unit. There are 2 files for the transceiver 1 is is for the control head unit and provides hook to hang the factory mic from and the other is for the transceiver body, You will need 2 of these. The holes in the body mount are 6mm holes 47mm on center so these may be used for any other transceiver with the same spacing. I do also know that the TM-D700A uses the same control head mount as the TM-D710 and the TM-V71A. so if your rig is one of these or uses a compatible mount this should work for you. The Control head bracket was built to slide over my Desk which is a 3/4" board and friction mount without hardware. I angled it up and toward me when placed to my left so that it keeps a low profile and allows me access to my HF rig controls it is placed in front of. you will want to print the Control head mount with supports and placed on its right side for linear strength and reduced supports/print time. Tree Supports will be easier to remove and reduce print time I did normal and it came out just fine but they were a pain to remove as it does the majority in 1 big block. The Body mount brackets should not need support unless you want them for the holes in the vertical. I am also including the Hole Spacer i made to figure out what the exact spacing was this small plate has 5 set of 6mm holes in it spaced in .5mm increments from 46-48mm These were all printed from PLA
