Inset Platen for KB Knife Sharpener/Mini Belt Sander v1.0
Description
I've created this remix of the platen piece designed to allow it to take a friction fit pressed in piece of 19.8 x 1.6mm Aluminium bar stock. This is because my ABS platen was wearing fast and unevenly when sharpening lots of knives. Friction fit to me, means a 0.1mm tolerance between the width of the Aluminium and the size of the hole. I've included the FreeCAD file here as well. The following is the summary of changes - Added a new body called inset_platen - lengthened the base of the platen to make a tighter friction fit into the motor plate - Added an inset in the face of the platen of 19.9mm wide, and 1.6mm deep - this is approximately 23.5mm long I printed this on it's base with supports for the overhang, in PETG. My Aluminium bar stock fits really snugly by pushing it into the hole.
