Can Lid - 12oz - 16oz
Description
This is a can lid for 12oz or 16oz cans. This version is to be printed in PLA. I printed this on a MakerBot Replicator + with a raft, but I would recommend printing without a raft on a printer that has a heated print bed, like a Creality or an Ultimaker. It will give you a much better face than the MakerBot gave me. I use this lid all the time, it is FOR THE MOST PART leakproof. If you increase the top and bottom layer thickness it makes actually make it leakproof, but no matter how many times I printed it, there was always a small error in part of the true bottom side that would eventually allow a leak if the can it was on sat on its side for a while. It is a transitional fit. I have made a TPU version, and I enjoy it much more, but this one is almost as good as the other if you only have PLA on hand. I imagine you can adapt these settings to work with any printer or hard plastic, like PLA+, PLA Meta, or ABS.
