In Victoria, Australia lives one of the biggest and most ancient species of freshwater crawfish, these river monsters can grow massive in size and live for decades, for this reason to protect the species bag limits and sizes are imposed as well as measurement of the head, bigger than 10cm and smaller than 12cm. I needed a small gauge to measure spiny crawfish and came up with this. commercially made ones can be bought but where's the fun in that?
