Kansas City Chiefs Hitch Cover
Description
A member here (Is112) saw a KC Chiefs plaque I designed & posted after they won the Super Bowl and he messaged me asking if I could design a trailer hitch cover with the Chiefs logo on it. Not having a vehicle that has a hitch, I had him give me the dimensions I needed, and cranked this one out in Fusion 360 yesterday. I spent all morning and a bit of this afternoon printing it for a proof. It came out good enough I decided to go ahead and publish it (of course, I send Is-112 a zip file with the contents earlier and he is printing it as I write this. I designed it to print vertically with NO supports to give the LOGO a chance to print properly without getting messed up by supports (if I had printed it with the logo end to the print surface). On my CR10 V2 printer using the .2mm/layer and a 110 mm/second print speed, the hitch cover as you see it in the pictures printed in roughly 6 hours/45 minutes using 20% infill. I made the walls thick enough that 20% gives plenty of strength and it should take plenty of abuse even printed with PLA2. I used FilaCube PLA2 for the Silver, Red and White filaments and ZIRO Matte Black for the black outline on the arrowhead and the KC lettering.
