Multicolor Name Plate
Description
Adding color can make a good thing look great! Your thing can have different color layers/stripes by using filament changes on a single-extruder printer. Usually, those colors are horizontally orientated. But, if your thing can be rotated and printed, it can have multicolor layers/stripes at different angles. This name plate is an example that helps demonstrate the process and output. I wanted the face to print black and the rest to print blue. Since the text sweeps at 55°, I placed the face flat on the print bed by rotating it 125° around the x-axis (supplementary angles: 180° - 55° = 125°). Then, I just added a filament change in my slicer, started printing with black filament, and swapped to blue filament when prompted.
