Photohex (with magnets!)
Description
I designed some nice hexagons for standard 10x15 cm (4" x 6") photos to decorate the wall. Every hexagon is equipped with 6 magnets so they can all hold on to each other. This way you don't have to drill a hole for each picture. I've drilled two holes for two of the hexagons and have 24 other hexagons hanging from those two. Also you can easily change the overall shape and order of the photo's because of the magnets. There are hexagons for landscape and portrait photo's so that the orientation of the hexagon doesn't have to change. Also I've included cutting aids so you can clamp the photo and make it the correct size by cutting it. (I use a hobbyknive for this) Then the photo's just snap in to place in the hexagons. Also there is an STL for a spiritlevel aid, which is designed to temporarily sit on top of a hexagon and provide a flat surface for a spiritlevel. You will need magnets for this project, I've used 15x5x5 mm neodymium magnets (6 per hexagon) but shorter ones like 10x5x5mm would definitely work. And maybe you'll need a small amount of glue to secure the magnets. To align the magnets you need to make sure that the direction of each magnet is alternated. I've designed a ring to help with the alignment of the magnets so that the orientation is the same on all hexagons.
