Description
This is another component of the lamp I'm making. This pivot allows the "horizontal" arm to pivot around the vertical member. I initially printed these as circles, but since I wanted to print them vertically and eliminate most support material wasn't happy with the results. So the octagon to the rescue. It pretty much approximates a circle and the 45 degree angles require no support. Anyway Fusion 360 files are included for your customization. The hardware is a 30 mm M5 hex head bolt and compatible washer and wing nut. All the wood parts are 3/8" (about 9.5 mm) hardwood dowel.
