BENCH VICE - MOLDING LATHE (STRONGER HOLDING MOD)

Thanks to CONCRETIZE for an amazing vice design! You must print the original vice before you can use this mod. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4913376 After printing and using this vice, one of the clips holding the main screw in place broke. This is because all the holding force of the vice is applied to a little 1.5mm thick clip, which means you can only tighten the vice as much as the clip can handle. I made this simple mod that can be easily added to vices already printed to exponentially increase the force the vice now is able to handle. All the clamping force is now on the threads as the moving vice jaw now pushes on the rigid spacer at the handle end of the lead screw. Simply print the spacer file and install as shown in the images. Two of the existing clips are no longer used and the single clip that remains on the lead screw is there only to keep the vice from coming apart. No force is ever applied to the clip. I've included the Fusion 360 file as well for reference and remixing.
