Eccentric paint can shaker for your drill
Description
This is a convenient paint shaker for spray cans. It consists of a hollow cylinder with an elongated hole at the bottom. There are two sizes availabe: 55mm (works for smaller cans like those from Edding) and 68mm (works for most other cans I had at hand). The internal diameter (55mm or 68mm) is deliberately oversized, so that you can fit some kind of paper or fabric (I use shop towels) in there to hold it firmly in place. By doing this you can shake it in any direction, even upside down. The elongated hole at the bottom is sized to 10mm in both cases. It's meant to take an M8 bolt, that you can use to attach it to your drill. Make sure to use some washers, since the hole is quite big for an M8. Also keep in mind that this is plastic, don't torque it too hard. By choosing different positions for the M8 bolt you can choose different amounts of eccentricity. More eccentricity might shake the can more, but also means more vibration in the drill and more stress on the printed part. To be honest while designing I had no idea what amount of eccentricity is good, so I just made it adjustable. Putting the bolt at the most inside point of the elongated hole gives you no eccentricity.
