SOVOL SV06 Stock Dual-Wing Fan Duct

SOVOL SV06 Stock Dual-Wing Fan Duct

Description

Hello all! I present to you “The Fanducstein”, a dual wing fan duct prototype based on the parts Sovol released. I just tried to maximise the air pressure over the nozzle instead of the travel it does, lacks science tests regarding fluid and air pressure cause I don’t know how to perform them, so if someone wills to do it, feel free to show the results in case it needs improving, at least according to empiric results seems it’s working a little better than stock. The design had 3 prior iterations before this final one which increases the linearity and pressure the stock duct offers. Even so, it’s not magic, it’s difficult to adjust air-path in such a tiny space. One important note, remember to print it in a material that can hold heat more than PLA or PLA+ (trust me, I tried) since this design leaves everything really close to the heat block, same as stock. I recommend PETG as minimum but more stronger materials are advised. I used PLA870 annealed for mine which gives similar resistance and thermal properties as ABS.

 Happy printing!

PS: Remember this is still a work in progress!!! You can contribute by testing and telling me how this performs over the stock fan duct!!! Remember to read the "Printing Instructions" Thank you =)

*DISCLAIMER:* This is a prototype sketched with Tinkercad so you’ll find design flaws, cause most important, this is my first 3D Design and I don’t know anything about it, so please bear that in mind, just sharing a creation a novice as myself did, I’ll try to improve it or leave the task to others that are more talented, I got the idea when I first got the Sovol and just wanted to see it happen, so I did it myself.
 *
IMPORTANT NOTE:* I’m working on how to fix the end of the vertical wall, some hat is needed to allow the air to be released within that angle, but you’ll find when slicing that area even with supports can leave some tiny defects, they won’t affect the functionality at all, but remember they can be there.
