CR10-S5 Z Support Brackets using 1/2" smooth rod

Description

Since I already had 1/2 solid steel rods, I simply redesigned one of the simplest designs by iWalldock. Rather than insert the bracket into a hollow rod, this version goes over a solid rod. I also preferred to put the supports on the back rather than the front of the printer. The CR10-S5 comes from the factory surprisingly without supports which are essential for taller prints. There were many designs out there all requiring many parts. All the other designs also required that I purchase new rods. When installing this version it is not necessary to pre-drill the extrusions before doing the M5 tap. I used short M5x8 screws. The frame already has a hole that is perfect for the M5 tap. Before I did the tap, I removed the plastic end cap and closest frame screw to the end so as not to damage it. After I tapped the hole, I put the frame screw back in and then installed the bracket. I spray painted the metal rods a satin black but put masking tape over the end parts that are inserted in the bracket since the fit was so tight. You can just touch up the end of the frame with a bit of the paint since the end cap is not needed. Super simple and worked like a charm.
