Magnetic Power Strip Cord Clip

Magnetic Power Strip Cord Clip

Description

We had to move our 3D printers around in our workspace which left a power strip cord hanging over the side of a metal cabinet. I designed these clips to hold the cord to the cabinet with magnets instead of screws or adhesive. The clip holds a fairly standard power strip cable with a 9.25mm diameter and the 3 holes on the bottom hold 10x3mm magnets that were purchased on Amazon. Great for using up little scraps of filament. The magnet fits in the middle piece snugly, so no need to glue unless you want to for extra precaution. I did have to scrape the two end magnet holes out with an Exacto knife slightly to get the magnets to fit. This is likely because I printed at .3mm layer height because I'm impatient, but I imagine a smaller layer height would help with the magnet fit. I added supports on build plate only and printed at the Prusa default 20% infill, though you could bump this up if you wanted them more heavy duty. Printed with Inland PLA.
