Ender 3 Neo, V2 Neo, & Max Neo Hotend Duct

Ender 3 Neo, V2 Neo, & Max Neo Hotend Duct

Description

Ender 3 Neo series hotend duct inspired by Minimus, with new innovative features, and uses the stock screws. Since I am certain that this mount will increase the value and aesthetic of your printer twofold, please consider throwing some love into the LouPea Charity Fund. Your contribution will enable my filament addiction, allowing me to bring even more value to your life. - https://www.buymeacoffee.com/LouPea Thank You! You will need 6 M3x6mm screws, which you can find on on the stock mount. To find them, 4 are used on the CR mount and the other 2 are used to mount the part cooling plate to the carriage. This uses the original CR position, though I advise you to re-level the bed after install. Slide the plate in and out a few times to break it in and it will work perfect. Both of the mounts are able to use the original part cooling fan as seen in the photo of my personal hotend. The mount labeled “Mount_40x40x10” will fit both of the stock Ender fans, so make this your first upgrade because the stock Creality duct is dog s***. The part labeled “Cooling_Fan_Duct” only fits a 40x40x20 axial fan because I'm near certain a fan with a depth of 10mm would not be sufficient cooling. If you want to test it, than remix it or add spacers to the face of your 10mm fan idc. I added the blend file with the empty top plate that is used to mount the “Hotend_Duct” for whoever wants to build a new duct. (Please share if you do) Printing Recommendations: Do whatever you want these are suggestions though. Everything is already in the recommended orientation for optimal printing, but change it as you wish. I used PLA with a .2 layer height, but anything smaller than .2 should work as well. I've done a 13 hour print with it and it is in the exact same condition as before, so PLA works great. If you are overly cautious about everything than use a filament that is more heat resistant. My cura PLA profile is the .3mf file if you are new, or if you are not not confident with your current settings. THIS PROFILE IS FOR THE MAX NEO so make sure to change the bed dimensions to the dimensions of your own printers bed when you configure the profile. For the best surface quality use at least 5 top layers and 5 bottom layers with a wall line count of 4. It is essential that the walls are at minimum 1.5 mm thick for stability and heat resistance. Tree supports with the support placement set as “touching build plate" and “support z & top distance” of .2: Side_Duct, Fan_Duct, & CR_Mount. Normal supports with the support placement set as “everywhere” for: Carriage_Housing, Mount_40x40x10, Mount_40x40x200. The Mount can use either of these configs but I suggest to use normal supports so you have the best housing connection possible. If there is a scar from your support, it will be in a location where it is impossible to see when mounted anyway
