Walksnail VRX to HDZero X-Air mount
Description
This allows you to use the HDZero X-Air patches on a Walksnail VRX, with a 15-degree outwards toe. I chose the HDZero patches as they come with u.FL connectors out of the factory. To install these, follow these steps: 1. Open the VRX and remove the existing patches. 2. Remove the stickers from the front. 3. Remove the 3D printed plates from the patches. I used a hot air gun but it was still loads of effort. 4. Position the mount onto the VRX and then use a drill to drill a hole at the top of the slot for the antenna. 5. Stick the mount onto the back of the patch. I used hot glue for this. 6. Stick the mount and patch onto the VRX. I used double-sided tape. 7. Re-assemble, taking care to reposition the heatsink thermal pad, and route the u.FL wires around it. I printed this without supports, with the patch-side down. This results in the printer printing a shallow bridge which helps with hot glue adhesion. The adaptor model is a bit sketchy due to a weird loft, but it looks and works fine.
