Kreation's Ender 5 plus
Description
This is a page dedicated to the build of my Ender 5 plus, its still not complete so this page will see updates along the way. For this build it is recommended to have a metric bolt set mostly M2-M5, lock washers, a set of T nuts in various, and the ability to crimp wiring. Some of the parts below I've designed or remixed for my printer, and others are links to other creators parts that I've used. I've converted my hot end to a BIQU H2 on a X axis linear rail, mount can be found here. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5379142 With the extruder no longer at the back of the printer, I installed this filament sensor mount link below. Though I have a BIQU filament sensor I'm going to switch too, but if you want to use the stock one this works good. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4815858 I've also converted my Y axis to linear rails, remixed adapters can be found here. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5380428 For the X and Y belt tensioners I originally had some printed ones, but they kept breaking and had a limited adjustment. Currently I have a metal set that I got off of amazon. I've installed a Big tree tech SKR 1.4 turbo, mounting bracket for installing in the stock case can be found here. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5886626 I Originally installed a TFT35, remixed mounting bracket for the stock case can be found here. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5886655 After I got the printer printing with the new main board, I upgraded to a TFT70 a great mount can be found here. For extending the cables, I found 2 meter 10 pin cables on Ebay. And I made the five pin cable myself, joining two 1 meter stepper motor cables together and re pining them in to 5 pin JST connectors. You only need for wires, the loose wire on the board end is just for the reset that I've heard is duplicated in the 10 pin connectors (though I don't have an official source on that). If you want the reset pin, just run the extra wire. With the stock screen mount empty, I designed a fan mount for extra cooling to the main board and the SKR 1.4 has a second cooling fan port. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5896283 I moved the electronics case to the rear of the frame, mounting brackets can be found here. With the electronics case moved outside the frame, I used some 20X40 extrusions I had to brace the frame, I just used some standard 20X20 vslot corner brackets with T nuts. With my acrylic enclosure the stock filament spool holder no longer could be mounted in the corner, but I found it worked when mounted on this brace though I had to shorten the spool holder and super glue it back together (printed part in works) for it to clear the bed when under 350mm in the Z direction. I upgraded my PSU cooling fan to a noctua fan, part can be found below. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4821969 Heated bed cable strain relief, a well designed bracket linked below. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4067316 I've also completely insulated the bottom of the heated bed, as only the center is on a stock ender 5 plus. And I've upgraded to silicone spacers instead of springs and also upgraded to Aluminum leveling wheels. After having problems sourcing a replacement glass bed, I switched to a magnetic PEI sheet. All of the items in this section can be found on amazon. Enclosure: I would double check measurements on your machine, but these are my measurements. Sides acrylic measurements - 20 1/2" X 19 5/8" Rear acrylic measurements - 18 1/4" X 20 3/8" From door acrylic measurements - 17 3/4" X 20" Link to hinges I used, Link to door latch I used, Top enclosure coming soon, sourcing parts currently.
