Description
The intake area of the Dell'Orto SHA series of carburettors has a shape that is anything but streamlined at the factory for cost reasons. Engines tuned with SHA carburettors therefore benefit greatly from an improvement in this area. SIL Tech Performance intake funnel optimizes gas flow. The powerful 70-75cc cylinders generate very high flow rates in combination with the small SHA carburettors. This is exactly where the SIL-Tech Performance intake funnel comes into play. It ensures that air can flow into the venturi area of the carburettor in a controlled and concentrated manner without creating wake vortices. The result is improved performance across the entire rpm range. On an engine with Malossi 75cc deps with Ø27mm outlet section and SHA 13.13 carburettor the improvement in peak power is 0.3HP. In the area of power increase, which is very relevant for acceleration, the intake funnel delivers a whopping 1hp more. In relation to this range, this corresponds to a performance increase of more than 20%. The intake manifold comes with an installation manual.
