Flexi Articulated Tie

Flexi Articulated Tie

Description

I made my own version of the Flexi Articulated Tie Use 1.75mm FIlament to "link" the parts together. if you have a hard time sliding it in (it should be a snug fit) use your knippers. to GENTLY grib a few mm from the edge and PUSH it will slide right in with the knippers. snip off excess I included 3 extra "knots" one with the Home symbol one with the luck cat symbol and one "blank" so you can imprint whatever you want. sink it .6mm in for a nice effect and use at least 4 top layers. I print this at 0.3mm layers but after 7mm I switch to 0.2mm for a clean "knot top" I used a 0.6mm nozzle but 0.4mm would work fine. I left the top and bottom layers off for that neat "infill" look. this is why the tie is separated into 3 chunks instead of one with all 3 pieces. infill is determined by the entire platter. not per part. so the infill won't "center" properly unless you process each chunk separately. in s3d I do this with multi process so the infill is separately calculated for each "section" so its "centered" in each section. if you are doing top and bottom layers this won't matter. you can easily imprint a logo just by finding what you want as a simple line art or clip art image (simple better) then converting it to an SVG with convertio and importing into tinkercad. Space is left on the back of the knot for a 60x10x3 magnet. get 3 of them. slap one on each side of your shirt they will hold each other in place. then the tie will snick into place. There is also a HOLE in the knot horizontally so you can run string/ribbon/elastic around to secure it around your neck that way as well. To make it shorter just remove a link or two from the top below the knot.
