Sovol SV06 PiCam/Arducam Solution
Description
I present to you a simple solution to hold a PiCamera on the SV06 right X-carriage mount so you can control your print while the Z is raising, it consists of a simple mount that snaps onto the carriage and serves as a holder to an arm which you can rotate horizontally and lock in place. The arm has a ball-hook in order to orient freely the camera as you want, also has cable cutouts so if you need to adjust your cable to avoid any collisions you can do it. Case has the measures for my Arducam IMX519 but PiCam v1 and v2 has same mounting holes/size and the square aperture should fit both, though that, I gave 0.5-1mm clearance on the central hole to help that process, I didn’t test those so feel free to tell me in case I need to make some adjustments and will update the subsequent updates. For required hardware, assembly and printing instructions, please read below. Happy printing!!! ### What you will need? - All parts printed - 4 M1.7x10mm (it’s for the cam case) - 1 M3x10mm && 1 M3 Nut (for the arm) - A suitable camera, this is the one I used: https://www.tiendatec.es/raspberry-pi/camaras/1922-arducam-camara-16mpx-imx519-autofocus-csi-8472496024174.html ### Assembly Instructions Check image in the gallery. *Note:* If for any reason(printer calibration/nozzle size), the M1.7 screws are too wide for the cam holes, use M2 ones. ### Printing Instructions Rotate the back-cover 90º, rest of the files print as STL is oriented. Used 20% gyroid infill, 4 walls and 0.2mm resolution on a 0.5mm nozzle (take this into consideration for any tolerance adjustments). No supports are needed. For materials, anything solid would serve. ### Credits: - Back-cover for the cam was inspired by theniterat which you can find here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4408079 - Front-cover pivots for the cam were inspired by Stenlycup which you can find here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5661023
