MicroBurner
Description
After using the SteathySwiss mod for more than a year I had to reprint it after starting to print ABS parts in a enclosure as they started to warp because of the heat and that I printed them in PLA. As I had to do this I wanted to modify it a bit as I wanted to change a couple of things. (please don't take this as a hit against the creator of the Stealthy Swiss, it is a fantastic mod! I just wanted to customise it for my own gains.) First off was a beefier mounting plate to keep it nice and secure. it also now has a mount for a 10mm inductive probe (no probe and BL/CR touch to come). I also modified the latest rear / part cooling drawing (from Voron) to fit the MicroSwiss DD. I tried to keep it as snug as possible white making it as easy to install as possible. I wanted to modify a new one as this now allows the use of the original Stealthburner front part to be used so keeping it simple. Parts you will need for this install... 6 x M3 x 5 / 6mm heat set nuts 4 x M3 x 8mm socket head bolts 2 x M3 x 30mm socket head bolts these are for mounting the stealthburner other fixings... (originally on your ender 3) 2 x M3 x 6 counter sunk bolts 3 x M3 x 6 button head bolts these are for mounting the mounting bracket to you microswiss. printer settings that I followed are the Voron settings. 4 perimeters 5 top / bottom 40% infill i use these as i print a lot of ABS in a chamber but you can use what ever your needs fits. for best results I would recommend either PETG,ABS,ABS+ or ASA but you can print this in PLA but bear in mind that it would stand up to the heat for very long. (I used mine in PLA for 4 months to get me going and didn't have much of an issue) the mounting bracket has a small clamp on the right to clamp it to the frame of the Microswiss to hold it nice and firmly as I notice flex of the tool head. this has holes ready to tap to M3 or you can just screw the countersunk M3 bolts in. (it is quite tight) I had to do this as there were no fixing points to screw it to on this side of the plate. if you come up with a mod for this, let me know and i will add it to the mounting plate. thank you for looking at my mod. happy printing!
