Print In Place Tank Tracks

Our Objects in Motion camp yielded some great ideas under a serious time crunch. This print in place tank tread set being among them. Inspired by the 3dHonza one-piece tank chassis, we set out to produce a somewhat self aligning ser of tracks that would work with 1/2" dowel rods for axles to save time. All in all, this is a functional work in progress with the "stretch" of the treads being a problem area for our plan for motorization. My hope in sharing this model is to encourage others to take this model and run with it to see how well it can truly work. As for us at the shop, it's on to the next idea!
