Protective Pad for Harbor Freight Drill Press Clamp
Description
The vise grip style drill press clamps available from Harbor Freight (and perhaps elsewhere) are really handy, but they will mar softer materials like aluminum. I didn't want the surface of the piece I was drilling to have marks left on it by the clamps, so I designed these pads. They fit onto the clamps and protect the surface of the part they are clamping. This design is intended to be printed with TPU. The overhangs are limited to 45 degrees and they print easily with no supports on a totally stock Anycubic Kobra Plus. Yes, you can print TPU on a Bowden printer, within reason. And yes, I know, the drill press table is rusty! It will get restored someday.
