(Lasercut) Proxxon Thermocut Guider

(Lasercut) Proxxon Thermocut Guider

Description

This is my own version of a Proxxon Thermocut Guider that I made in Autodesk Fusion 360. It works pretty well, as it should. Aligns very well and is snug in the fittings. Just cut out and assemble with superglue or the glue of your choice. Cut on my Xtool D1 10W laser. In the bottom rail there is a 2mm gap since I used 3mm MDF and the rail should be 8mm thick. I solved this by just cutting out a small strip of XPS and slid it in the gap to make it even more stable. The strip could be thicker or thinner depending on how hard you want the guider to sit on the cutter. I want my guider to not get completely stuck so I just cut a 2mm thick strip. Works like a charm. I found a few online but I myself don't have the money to buy one, so I made one. Use to your hearts desire, fiddle with it, remix or whatever. Just make sure to give props where due ;)
