got this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09MVRNCVZ/ to make my dock cable one less sharp turn, but then it's a bit floppy on the port, so I created reinforcement. this file will work with this adapter in the link, you might need to adjust slightly to yours or just make this in tinkercad like I did, pretty simple. the height in the recess is 7 mm exact. Also that gray is matching the mbp color almost perfectly!
