Target Frame, Painting Rack, GP rack or hanger

Description

This is a multipurpose frame made utilizing ½” galvanized conduit, however it will work with ½" PVC pipe also. It can used to hang targets or items being spray painted, as a dispenser for craft or butcher paper, as a support, or drying rack. The only limit is your imagination. Coat hanger wire is a quick, cheap way to hang targets or items being spray painted. Ther are two versions of the lower corner braces. One simply lets you build a pair of triangular sides supported by the cross-piece. Version2 lets you add two supporting members across the bottom, between the two triangles resulting in a more rigid frame. In either case, you need to print a total of four pieces to finish the bottom of the two triangular sides. No supporrts needed, recommend PETG. All printed parts are designed to print flat and without supports. The “apex” piece allows tubing up to 1” to pass through and has a hole, in the very top of the ring, to allow inserting a screw to secure the cross-member. I tapped mine for a ¼-20 screw. The parts fit snugly. I recommend using a vise to slightly crimp the last two inches of the conduit for easier insertion and removal, and warming or wetting PVC pipe for insertion. The weld line in the conduit makes a useful reference in crimping to keep parts aligned. The size of the rack is up to you. The rack ends make an equilateral triangle so each piece of tubing should be cut to same length. The horizontal cross-member can be any length, of course.
